Judo is a well famed Japanese martial art form derived originally from jujutsu. There are various techniques applied in Judo, which are broadly categorized into five types: throwing techniques (Nage-Waza), grappling techniques (Katame- Waza), body striking techniques (Atemi- Waza), blocks and perries (Uke- Waza), receiving techniques and break- fall techniques (Ukemi). They are again sub categorized in total 135 recognized techniques.
